Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines two is not going to release in the initial quarter of 2020 as previously planned.
Hardsuit Labs and Paradox have right now announced that Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines two has been delayed from its prior Q1 2020 release window. The game does not however have a new release target, but will launch later in 2020.
In a weblog post, Hardsuit Labs’ Andy Kipling and Brian Mitsoda mentioned that the group didn’t want to repeat the exact same errors produced throughout the improvement of the initial game. In order to make excellent on the ambitions of the project, a delay was vital.
“There’s the duty to prevent some of the troubles that plagued the initial game, which was famously launched as well early,” the developers wrote. “Over the final handful of months, it became clear that to stick to our original date would danger repeating that error. We will not do that.”
Aspect of this is also the outcome of Hardsuit Labs’ internal push to expand the capabilities of the group and enhance the improvement approach, which the weblog post says wasn’t sufficient to enable Bloodlines two to hit the prior release target.
“This hasn’t been an uncomplicated- nor our initial decision. All through 2019 we have been enhancing our processes and developing our teams, even so it quickly became clear that this alone will not enable us to provide the top quality we want at the date we promised.
“Your feedback was invaluable in this. It helped us give the suitable weight to what we saw, as effectively.”
Hardsuit Labs is bringing Bloodlines two to PDXCON this weekend. Even though the game will not be playable, a lot more improvement particulars will be shared on the Announcement Show on Saturday.
