ᐉ [PS4Blog.net Interview] Super Rare Games On Earthlock ᐉ New Mobile Gadget

noviembre 16, 2022

Super Rare Games has their first Collector’s Edition for a Nintendo Switch game, so I got in touch with George Perkins to talk a bit about Earthlock. Come check it out!

PS4Blog: Good morning! Thank you for joining us today. Could you please get us started by telling our readers a bit about yourself and you work?

Hello! I am George Perkins, and I am ‘Head of Doing Stuff’ at Indie Physical Publisher Super Rare Games. We work with teams all over the world to release a limited print, boxed edition of their Nintendo Switch games.

PS4B: Earthlock is the next Nintendo Switch release from Super Rare Games, and is going live today. What drew you to doing a physical release for this JRPG homage?

There were two main reasons. With Super Rare Games, I want to release something for everyone. The JRPG genre is one we haven’t explored before, so I was very keen to try and fill that gap! The second, most important reason, is that its a great game! I had a wonderful time playing it, and after finishing the game, I knew I wanted it to be part of the Super Rare Collection!

PS4B: This one is also a special release from Super Rare games since it’s the first game you’ll be offering as a Collector’s Edition. What can our readers expect to find inside of that special box?

The Collector’s Edition is a really great package. Its a massive 30 cm by 30 cm box containing a 220-page book, two massive comics, the game, the trading cards, and a soundtrack CD. It’s something we are very proud of!

PS4B: What made Earthlock the right game to do your first Collector’s Edition?

It was the perfect game for this due to the expansive world it has created. It was very easy to create amazing bonus items to go alongside the release due to the vast amount of content the game has to offer. Snowcastle Games, the team behind Earthlock, are an amazing studio and they had some very interesting designs we could work with on the CE.

PS4B: Game 17 and Game 18 from Super Rare Games are still a mystery, so I was wondering if there were any clues you could give us as to what those two are.

One is a point and click game, and one is the most violent game we have ever released!

PS4B: And that’s all the time we have for today. Is there something else you’d like to add before we go?

Thanks for taking the time to talk to me! Make sure to check us out on Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram!
