At the IMID 2026 expo in Busan, South Korea, Samsung unveiled several cutting-edge display technologies. The standout item at Samsung’s booth is a 16-inch OLED panel with a 300Hz refresh rate.

New high-refresh-rate OLEDs
This is an industry first — no OLED panel has reached such a high refresh rate before. Once it hits the market, it will likely be adopted by high-end gaming laptops. Beyond its 2.5K resolution and 16:9 aspect ratio, Samsung did not disclose further specifications. HDR capabilities are expected to be strong, though peak brightness figures have not yet been revealed.
QD-OLED Panels for Monitors
Samsung also revealed a 31.5-inch QD-OLED panel at 4K resolution with a 360Hz variable refresh rate, alongside a 34-inch ultrawide QD-OLED panel that supports the same 360Hz refresh rate at a 21:9 aspect ratio.

Other Experimental Displays
A number of more speculative displays were also present at Samsung’s booth, including a 6.9-inch Humanoid Display with eye-tracking designed for robotics applications, and an AI OLED Pendant concept. These represent longer-term ambitions, while the high-refresh-rate OLED panels are likely to reach consumers in the near term.
