Welcome to Indie App Spotlight. This is a weekly 9to5Mac series where we showcase the latest apps in the indie app world.

Milepost turns your road trips into more of a journey. It lets you record all of your drives and journal all of the key moments that happened along the route, so your road trips become a lot more memorable — rather than just a blip of time.

Top Features

Most people drive a ton, but a lot of the experience is forgotten once you reach the destination. Milepost helps you keep track of that by letting you save the route, distance, speed, time, and weather. You can also take notes, add photos, and build a true gallery, which the app calls roadbooks. The roadbook serves as a timeline of your journey, and you can even tie in Apple Music to see what you were listening to while driving.

Milepost isn’t just about your own drives, though — it’s also meant to be a social experience. You can share your journeys with friends via its built-in social network, where they can comment and react to what you share. The app also includes a well-designed garage feature where you can showcase the cars you own.

The app supports Siri, Shortcuts, and CarPlay. It’s available on all Apple platforms, including the Mac, where a larger display gives you a more detailed look at your drives. It also offers an MCP server so you can plan future trips with AI agents based on your past driving history.
