on Computer. Kojima Productions’ console companion Sony is apparently not involved in the Computer release.Kojima Productions’ debut game will launch on PlayStation four this November eight, but will later release on PC in summer 2020. Hideo Kojima confirmed this on Twitter, and 505 Games later confirmed its involvement with the game later on.

“We are extremely excited and honored to be working with the supremely talented team at Kojima Productions and to bring Death Stranding to PC gamers around the world,” said 505 Games co-founder and CEO Raffi Galante in a press release. “Death Stranding will take gamers through a completely original experience that will delight PC gamers everywhere.”

Little else has been revealed about Death Stranding’s PC release, including the all-important question of which launcher it will use. 505 Games recently published Control on PC, which was an Epic Games Store timed exclusive, but other games the publisher has been involved in this year have been available on Steam at launch, including Indivisible and Bloodstained.

Importantly, it appears that Sony is not involved in the PC version. While the game’s marking can make it appear so, Death Stranding is not Sony first-party game, and thus is not inherently exclusive to the platform. A slightly different but similar case would be Quantic Dream, who eventually brought all its Sony exclusive games to PC, although that was months or even years after their initial releases.
