It is been a though now because the final time we wrote some thing about our games! I missed you, my beloved internet-primarily based text-editor <3
So what have we been up to?
At final, we stopped functioning on Dead In Vinland, nearly precisely one particular year soon after its initial release! The Final Spell is a tactical RPG game at its core. But of course, we can not possibly make a game which would match in only 1 genre… It would be also simple… So the tiny twist right here is that we constructed up the game about a rogue-lite gameplay loop.
You lead the handful of remaining heroes of earth and attempt to defend the final bastion of humanity with every little thing you have against hordes of mutated monsters who come out at evening from a strange purple mist.
You are robust. But also tired and beneath-equipped. Mana does not come low-cost and munitions are scarce.
Will you use these valuable sources you scavenged from the ruined city you defend to make arrows… or to make makeshift walls?

Critical: this is NOT actual gameplay footage. It is rather what we get in touch with a “mood video”, to show the atmosphere of the game and pitch a bit setting.
I’ll speak a bit extra about the lore of the game in yet another weblog post, but as you can see we are dealing with a medieval post-apocalyptic planet, with glorious pixel art graphics and an isometric view. We also want to spice a tiny bit every little thing with some “arcade feels”, each in terms of gameplay and visuals.
