“I wanted to take the theme and create lyrics that had been representative of the narrative themes from The Final of Us,” continues Wood. “I attempted to visualize how it would really feel to reside in a globe like that, and create from the point of view of a person attempting to reconcile their existence in a dead and broken globe.
