(2021) ᐉ ‘Hypocrite’ Jeremy Corbyn Holds SNP Talks To Push General Election Back To November To Kill No Deal Brexit ᐉ New Mobile Gadget

noviembre 15, 2022

LABOUR is plotting with the SNP to delay an election until November to kill No Deal Brexit, it was revealed last night.

Spineless leader Jeremy Corbyn believes he can trap Boris Johnson by refusing to agree to his preferred date, October 15.

The move would force the Prime Minister to seek a Brexit extension past the “do or die” Oct 31 deadline before a poll is held.

It came after Labour’s own MPs warned they would lose the vote if it came any sooner – as the Tories firmly top opinion polls.

The Labour chief has been in talks with the Scottish Nationalists and agreed not to allow an election until October 20 at the earliest.

Three of his ministers — John McDonnell, Emily Thornberry and Sir Keir Starmer — want it postponed to November, the Telegraph reports.

CHICKEN CORBYN

Mr Corbyn was branded a “hypocrite” by PM Boris this week after becoming the first Opposition leader to turn down the offer of an election.

And yesterday, the PM said he would rather be “dead in a ditch” than grovel to Brussels for an extension to Brexit.

The PM told reporters staying in the EU was “totally pointless” during a speech in Wakefield, Yorkshire.

And he refused to rule out the option of resigning instead of doing as Parliament demands and extending the deadline to January.

When asked if he was considering stepping down, Boris said: “My intention, as I’ve said just now, is to deliver on the mandate of the people.

“We have a democracy in this country and when the people of Britain take a decision parliamentarians are sworn to uphold that decision.”

His speech came after a gruelling 48 hours in the Commons in which MPs seized the agenda of the House and slapped down his election call.

Boris was forced to sack 21 treacherous Tory MPs who defied the Government and sided with the Opposition in a Remainer alliance.

Another, Phillip Lee, cross the floor of the House to join the Lib Dems – wiping out the Tories’ majority in Parliament.

Boris’ plan is to hold a vote on October 15, then storm a crunch Brussels summit on October 17 to demand a new deal.

But the PM accused MPs of having “totally wrecked” his chances of getting a fresh deal by backing the legislation to prevent No Deal Brexit.

Tories also accused Labour of running away from an election they’ve spent years calling for.

Boris blasted that it was because leftie boss Corbyn thinks he’ll lose a snap poll.

He joked it that it was also a first that the “Opposition has opted to show confidence in Her Majesty’s Government!”

“Does somebody need to get out the chicken suit?” he told ITV after the vote for an election failed by 136 votes.

ANOTHER ELECTION VOTE

Yesterday, the Government revealed their plans to hold ANOTHER election vote on Monday to try and force one through.

Boris is now in a race against time to get it called before he shuts down Parliament next week until October 14.

In another blow to the PM, his Europhile brother Jo Johnson resigned from the Government over Brexit.

But the trip – with girlfriend Carrie Symonds – has been cut short to just one night’s stay amid the Westminster chaos.
