MMO Year in Review: A new New World (January 2020)

2021 will end up much like the past. I was hoping for a break out MMO but New World is still finding it’s identity, Lost Ark is struggling is compelling repeatable content and many of the promised upcoming titles like Pantheon, Ashes of Creation and Amazon’s Lord of the Rings are still in development phase with no ETA on a release.

I’ve played and finished the content for GW2, ESO and FFXIV. It may be time to finally play one of the longest standing MMO’s, World of Warcraft. Crimson Desert could ‘maybe’ fill the gap if the lessons of BDO were learned.

We’re just trying to get people back in the studios in 2021. Hopefully we get a sleeper title out of no where.
