Samsung Galaxy S20 FE begins receiving its Android 11 update

Samsung is continuing its Android 11 rollout an upgrade for another one of its major 2020 releases.

The Samsung Galaxy S20 FE has started getting its Android 11 update (via SamMobile). As with the Galaxy S20 and Note 20 upgrades that’ve already rolled out, the Galaxy S20 FE’s update includes One UI 3 with a refreshed design and improved animations. One UI 3 also brings camera improvements, a simpler Settings app, and a Conversations section in your notifications shade for quick access to your chats, among other improvements.

This Galaxy S20 FE update includes the December 2020 security patches, too.

Right now, the Galaxy S20 FE’s Android 11 upgrade is only rolling out in Russia with the build number G780FXXU1BTL1. That may be disappointing to S20 FE owners in the other parts of the world, but the good news here is that this rollout means Samsung has finished work on the Galaxy S20 FE’s Android 11 update, and so we could see the upgrade rolling out more widely very soon.
