iOS 14.3 update now available with Apple Fitness+, ProRAW photos for iPhone 12 Pro

iOS 14.3 is now available to the public, bringing with it major new features like Apple’s new Fitness+ service and support for the AirPods Max headphones.

iPhone and iPad owners can get the new update right now by launching the Settings app on their device and tapping on “General” followed by “Software Update”.

One of the biggest new features of iOS 14.3 is the launch of Apple Fitness+. It offers on-demand video workouts in a variety of types, including Strength, Yoga, Core, Cycling, Dance, Treadmill, and High Intensity Interval Training. Workouts range from 10 to 45 minutes, and Apple says that most Fitness+ exercises require either no extra equipment or just a set of dumbbells.

Apple Fitness+ costs $9.99 per month or $79.99 per year. It’s also part of the Apple One Premier Bundle that costs $29.95 per month and includes Apple Music, Apple TV+, Apple Arcade, Apple News+, and 2TB of iCloud Storage, all of which can be shared between six family members. Existing Apple Watch owners get one month of Fitness+ free, while customers who buy a new Apple Watch Series 3 or later can get three months free.

The upgrade to iOS 14.3 also includes support for the Apple ProRAW photo format for the iPhone 12 Pro and Pro Max. This lets you shoot photos in the RAW format, giving you more control over editing, while still utilizing Apple’s image pipeline data like noise reduction.

This update improves the Shortcuts app, too, because it no longer routes you through Shortcuts and then to your desired app when you launch an app with a custom icon. This should make using custom app icons faster.

Apple also launched an update to watchOS 7.2 for the Apple Watch today. This update enables support for Apple Fitness+ and includes the Cardio Fitness metric to help measure overall health. You can install an Apple Watch update by launching the Watch app on your paired iPhone and then tapping “General” followed by “Software Update”.

iOS 14.3 includes support for Apple Fitness+ and AirPods Max. This release also adds the ability to capture photos in Apple ProRAW on iPhone 12 Pro, introduces Privacy information on the App Store, and includes other features and bug fixes for your iPhone.
