Razer’s Hammerhead True Wireless Pro earbuds add noise cancellation, THX sound

Razer first got into the truly wireless earbud game in late 2019 with the Hammerhead True Wireless buds, and now it’s stepping things up with a Pro model.

The Razer Hammerhead True Wireless Pro are now official, and they offer a couple notable upgrades over the non-Pro model that launched last year. The first is active noise cancellation, with Razer touting that it uses a “hybrid ANC to nullify both external and unwanted internal noise by generating inverse sound waves simultaneously.”

Also of note is that the Hammerhead True Wireless Pro come with six sets of silicone tips plus Comply foam tips to help you get a good seal and block outside noise.

Razer’s Pro earbuds also come with THX certified audio. “To achieve the stringent requirements for THX Certification, fine details such as frequency range and response are evaluated, and the device must be capable of delivering clear, detailed vocals and deep impactful bass with zero distortion at high volumes,” Razer says.

Because Razer is a gaming-focused company, it’s including low latency sound with the Hammerhead True Wireless Pro, including a special Gaming Mode that you can activate to create a custom Bluetooth 5.1 connection to drop latency to 60ms for faster reaction times.

The touch-enabled controls on the Hammerhead True Wireless Pro let you switch between active noise cancellation and a Quick Attention Mode for those times when you need to hear what’s going on around you. You can also control your music and incoming calls as well as activate your phone’s voice assistant.

IPX4 water resistance is included, too, if you like to use truly wireless earbuds for your workouts.

Razer Hammerhead True Wireless Pro charging case

When it comes to battery life, Razer says that its Hammerhead True Wireless Pro offer up to 4 hours of use and up to 4 recharges with the included charging case, giving you up to 20 hours of total battery life. The charging case recharges over USB-C, and Razer is selling a protective TPU carrying case with carabiner clip for the case for $29.99/€34.99.

The Razer Hammerhead True Wireless Pro themselves cost $199.99/€209.99 and you can buy them right now.
