Samsung Galaxy A-lineup consists of entry-level, mid-range as well as high-end mid-range smartphones. Two new smartphones were silently announced for the European market. They were Samsung Galaxy A02 and the Galaxy A12. Both of them are entry-level offerings from Samsung, and now it seems like the tech giant is going to introduce these models in more markets. Both of these smartphones were seen on the TKDN certification hinting at their launch in Indonesia.
Previously, the Galaxy A02 was also certified by ANATEL, hinting at a potential Brazil launch. Hence, expect these two smartphones in your region as-well. The Galaxy A02 serves as a successor to the Galaxy A01, while the A12 is a successor to A11. We have seen the Galaxy A02 with the model number SM-A025-F on different certifications. While the Galaxy A12 comes with the model number SM-A125-F. Let’s check out the specifications of Galaxy A02 and A12 that will be launching soon in Indonesia.
Samsung Galaxy A02 Specifications
The Galaxy A02 comes with a 6.5-inch TFT display with a resolution of 720 x 1520 pixels. It comes with a triple rear camera enclosed in a square module. The primary sensor is a 13-megapixel shooter while there are a 2-megapixel depth and a 2-megapixel macro as-well. On the front, there is a 5-megapixel selfie shooter.
Talking about performance, the Galaxy A02 comes with Snapdragon 450 chipset. I am not impressed with this choice at-all. Samsung should go for a new generation Snapdragon 400 series chipset like the Snapdragon 460. I have personally tested Snapdragon 460 on the Realme C17 and it is capable for day to day tasks and light gaming. But the Snapdragon 450? It was the processor used on Redmi 5 from 2017. Heck, Samsung should have opted for an Helio G series chipset instead of that old processor. The smartphone comes with 3GB RAM and 32GB internal storage. It has a 5000mAH battery with 15W charging support via a MicroUSB port.
The Samsung Galaxy A12 is very similar to Galaxy A02 in some departments. However, the A12 is better in the camera department. It has a 6.5-inch HD+ display. It comes with a quad-camera setup led by a 48-megapixel shooter, 5-megapixel ultra-wide, two 2-megapixel macro and depth sensors. On the front, you will get an 8-megapixel shooter for selfies.
Unlike Galaxy A02, the A12 is powered by an Helio P35 chipset. There is a similar 5000mAh battery with 15W charging support however with a USB-Type C. port You will also get a side-mounted fingerprint scanner on the Galaxy A12. Well, it is too early to say anything about the pricing of Galaxy A02 and A12 in Indonesia. We will keep you updated whenever any update arrives.
