The French games market had 1200 titles in the functions, 63 per cent of which had been new IPs.
As reported in the annual market survey by the French Video Game Trade association (SNJV), 530 of the games are set to launch in 2019.
The survey was carried out on 1,131 firms, 50 per cent of which had been developers, 42 per cent are service and technologies providers, six per cent had been publishers and two per cent are distributors.
More than half of the improvement studios are significantly less than five years old at 54 per cent, and 19 per cent have been about for more than 10 years.
At the moment, the French games market is male-dominated with only 14 per cent of workers in improvement studios becoming female and a additional two per cent recognize as non-binary. Nonetheless, 15 per cent of management roles in the market are held by girls.
