Initially, Death Stranding’s theme of connection was quite mysterious, but now that we’ve noticed a bunch of the game in action, it is beginning to make sense. Sam Porter Bridges is travelling the length of the fallen United States in order to reconnect the broken civilisation. He’ll be performing this by creating deliveries and finding everybody hooked up to the Chiral Network, such as a selection of characters in side missions.
As revealed by Hideo Kojima himself in the course of his current go to to Russia, the fate of particular NPCs will be up to the player. Speaking at the Garage Museum of Contemporary Art in Moscow, Kojima explained: “We have a character who lives deep underground. He is sick and demands medicine, and Sam can provide it. Due to the fact this occurs at the starting of the story, this is a will have to.”
He continues: “Following finishing this quest, the player himself chooses the following actions: you can continuously go to the old man and carry medicine can provide other products You can listen to his stories from the previous.” Even so, this getting an open planet game, it is probably that players will venture quite far from this old man. Kojima reasonably expects that some players will neglect about the character, resulting in a lost connection and the man’s demise. “We seriously hope that the significance of the connection among folks – how it is formed, how it develops – will be revealed, and it will be intriguing for you to play it,” Kojima concludes.
