Watch Dragonforce’s explosive retro video game-inspired promo for Heart Demolition


Dragonforce have released a retro video game-inspired promo for their new single Heart Demolition.

The song will function on the band’s upcoming album Intense Energy Metal, which will launch on September 27 by means of earMUSIC and follows the track Highway To Oblivion.

The new video is a glorious throwback to the late 80s/early 90s when 16-bit games consoles such as the Sega Mega Drive and Super Nintendo had been on the rise.

Not only does the video function some gaming action – full with Dragonforce’s quite personal Mega Drive game cartridge and box – but the complete video has a distinctly retro vibe.

A teaser for the video was lately shown on gaming video platform Twitch, with a statement saying: “Inspired by classic arcade games, the retro appear of the video completely completes the song’s speedy and furious guitar sound and triumphant, uplifting melodies.”

Intense Energy Metal was developed in Los Angeles by Damien Rainaud at Mix Limitless, with the record also recorded, in element, on guitarist Herman Li’s Twitch channel with participation from the fans.
