Pokémon Go ultra rewards: Shiny Mewtwo, regionals, and Generation five in September

Final week, Niantic announced that it was granting a series of “ultra” rewards for completion of a selection of challenges all through the summer season in Pokémon Go. These rewards had been only hinted at, but right now Niantic clarified the rewards. And wow, they are doozies.

The ultra rewards will be spread out more than the course of various weeks.

Week 1: Beginning on Sept. two, Unown will have the likelihood to hatch from 10KM eggs, spelling out the letters U, L, T, R, and A. That exact same day, the legendary dogs, Raikou, Suicune, and Entei, will return as raid bosses. There will also be a likelihood to catch a Shiny Sentret and a Shiny Gligar.

Week two: Beginning on Sept. 9, regional Pokémon from Kanto (Generation 1), like Mr. Mime, Tauros, and Farfetch’d, have a likelihood to hatch from 7KM eggs, with a likelihood of getting Shiny. Also, all Deoxys types will seem in raids and incubators will hatch eggs twice as rapid.

Week three: Beginning on Sept. 16, Mewtwo will seem in raids, with a likelihood of getting Shiny. It’ll also come packing a brand new attack: Psystrike. In addition, trainers have a likelihood to catch Shiny Lillipup and Shiny Patrat, along with other Unova area Pokémon. These will be the very first Pokémon added to Pokémon Go from the Generation five Pokédex.

In addition, Niantic dropped a new quest tonight, enabling trainers to capture Jirachi, the Mythical Pokémon from the Hoenn area.
