Kalypso Media has announced Spacebase Startopia, a re-imagining of classic Computer space-station mangement sim Startopia for release in 2020 on Xbox 1.
Promising a ten-mission, completely voiced campaign, you are going to have to produce and preserve an intergalatic space station, dealing with the desires and requires of your alien guests although attempting to turn more than a tidy profit and also fending off rivals to make “the most eye-catching trade and tourism location in the identified universe.” There’ll also be a sandbox mode as effectively as competitive and co-operative multiplayer.
The original game came out for Computer back in 2001 and was by Mucky Foot Productions, a studio created up of ex-Bullfrog personnel, and was effectively identified for bringing along the exact same sort of humour that could be discovered in the prior studio’s games like Theme Hospital. Top rated of these in Startopia was the sardonic wit of your AI mentor/companion VAL, who returns – with a new voice – in this edition.
There is a trailer and the initial screens, which we’ve embedded beneath. Starbase Startopia is aiming to launch on Xbox 1, PlayStation four, Nintendo Switch and Computer in Q3 2020.
