Lockwood Publishing has announced the close of a funding round that added various new investors and saw current investor and board member David Helgasson appointed chairman of the board.
The funding round’s total quantity was not specified, but it was led by each current investors and new shareholders Novator Partners and CCP Games CEO Hilmar Ptursson.
Meanwhile, Unity CEO and co-founder David Helgason’s appointment as chairman of the board comes two years immediately after he initial signed on as an investor.
Lockwood is the developer and publishers of mobile and Computer social platform Avakin Life, which at present sees more than a single million DAUs. The firm has been steadily expanding more than the final handful of years, adding a new UK workplace in Leamington Spa in 2017, a Newcastle studio in 2018, and its initial international workplace in Lithuania about the similar time as its Newcastle place.
