Make My MMO: Star Citizen’s monthly studio report for… April

[ad_1]

This week in MMO crowdfunding, we’re in the back half of May now, and you know what that means: a rather belated studio report from Star Citizen covering what the company did way back in April. It’s a bit granular, as the recap touches on everything from alpha 3.5 AI, animation, and New Babbage art to outfits, economy refactoring, procedural planet tech, level design, and Turbulent. And as for the absent 3.5.1? It’s coming, and to Evocati first as always. [Thanks, DK!]

Meanwhile, Elite Dangerous and Albion Online both got wee updates, Crowfall released lore for the sentinel, SOTA raised eyebrows over its apparent leadership rearrangement but handed out free houses, Pantheon posted its latest newsletter, and Dual Universe pushed out r0.15. Finally, Playcraft has 10 more days to raise the few thousand dollars of its Kickstarter ask.

Read on for more on what’s been up with MMO crowdfunding over the last week, plus our roundup of all the crowdfunded MMOs we’re following!

Star Citizen

Yes, some crowdfunded MMOs most definitely do succeed. But others crash and burn, and you need to hear about the whole spectrum of games that sought your money early in exchange for the promise of input and transparency. And that’s exactly what Make My MMO does every Saturday. Help us keep ’em accountable, would ya?
